The duo will link up with French superstar Axel "<a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/players/9570-vatira/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Vatira</a>" Touret to create a new look for the foreseeable future.</div><div><br></div><div>RLCS 2022-23 was a defining season for Karmine Corp. With three Regional wins, a Major title and a top-four finish at the World Championship, the organization etched its name in Rocket League Esports history. The season started with the statement signing of Vatira, who signed after a breakout season with <a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/teams/5926-moist-esports/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Moist Esports</a> as one of the top players in the world. Joined by Karmine Corp veteran Amine "<a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/players/a477-itachi/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">itachi</a>" Benayachi and Brice "<a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/players/4142-exotiik/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ExoTiiK</a>" Bigeard, the trio formed a formidable roster at the top of Europe. It was during the Winter Split where the team would enjoy their best spell of the season. The roster comfortably dominated the domestic scene with two Regional wins and a third grand finals appearance at the <a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/events/c398-rlcs-2022-23-winter-europe-regional-3/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Winter Invitational</a>, before concluding the Split with a win at the <a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/events/c02f-rlcs-2022-23-winter-major/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Winter Major</a>, defeating <a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/teams/c155-faze-clan/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">FaZe Clan</a> in the finals. Karmine Corp soon had its dominance challenged by the emergence <a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/teams/fc9c-team-vitality/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Team Vitality</a> and <a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/teams/dc74-team-bds/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Team BDS</a> during the Spring Split, two rivals powered by the respective signings of French prodigy Alexis "<a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/players/41dd-zen/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">zen</a>" Bernier and LAN specialist rise. While Karmine Corp kept pace, they could not overcome their rivals when it mattered as it was the other organizations that would clash head-to-head in the last two RLCS LAN finals of the season.</div><div><br></div><div>It soon became evident that Karmine Corp was set to make changes to its roster following the end of the season. Itachi, ExoTiiK and head coach Benjamin "<a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/players/3fb7-eversax/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Eversax</a>" Wagner announced a week ago that while they were all still under contract, they were allowed to explore their options this offseason. The organization quickly began to work on rebuilding its roster, hoping to take it one step further than RLCS 2022-23. With many different options assessed, Karmine Corp settled on the additions of rise and Atow. Rise, who had announced that his short-term contract had ended with Team BDS at the start of September, was available as a free agent. On the other hand, Atow remains contracted to <a href="https://www.shiftrle.gg/teams/64ca-team-liquid/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Team Liquid</a> with Karmine Corp expected to acquire the Belgian talent.
